iBooks question

Why can I not highlight text and add notes to PDFs or my own files? It only works for eBooks bought from the store apparently. It's idiotic and makes iBooks useless for me.

Probably (but could be wrong) because a PDF file requires it's own editing type software. This would require Books to be a more blotted and complex App.

That's definitley something they should add in the next version of iBooks. Is there a way to directly open a file on the iPad from iBooks in Pages? Pages allows you to change the format, so possibly there's a solution here.

Pages doesn't support opening either .epub or .pdf though! You can try other PDF editors like Documents. Just look for "PDF" in the App Store.
