at other than the front of the. book...looked on youtube did a gargle ..nothing...in other words want to pick up speech reading an ibook that I bought from where I left off...it is like groundhog day...every time form the beginning...thanks

ibooks sierra imac ..how to start reading

Open the book in iBooks.
Look in the upper right hand corner.
There is a downward-pointing arrow, and right next to it a "bookmark" icon.
To save the page you're at, click the bookmark icon.
(of course, you already have to BE AT the page you want to bookmark)
To go to the bookmarked page, click the downward arrow.
To REMOVE a bookmark click the downward arrow, then look for a little "x" at the right edge of the dropdown menu.
Click the "x", and the bookmark will disappear.

sooo, in order to pick up reading where you left off with the ibooks start speaking in ibook edits function? you have to begin at a place you left off and with a bookmark? makes sense--but how in the hell would I have ever been able to guess that? if it works I thank you very much ...what I have found is I can begin at new chapters....beginning of....again, with speech option. thank you
