You have to upgrade to Mavericks if you can and among many other enhancements, you get the iBooks app for Mac, it's the only way to read books bought from Apple on a Mac ;)

yea I have searched the web and can't find anything. It will be my last "Book" order from Itunes..

So, your machine cannot be upgraded to Mavericks? I'm not sure which model you have.
In that case, you're better off getting books from Kindle from now on. They have a Mac app in the Mac App Store as well as on iOS and any imaginable device (I see you own a Galaxy Note, so you can also read the same books on your Android device) and it works just as well.

yea I will have to continue reading when I get a new IPad, I sold my Ipad mini last week. No my 2006 Imac will not upgrade to Mavericks too old..I just cant see why Apple does not have a reader for prior OSX OS..
