I'd like to know if it's possible to use iCal to send an alert when we haven't worked with a client in 9 months or so. I could just set up alerts with each event, but then if we've worked with the same client since then, we would have to go back and find and remove the old alert, and that could get complicated...
Is there an easy way to do something like this? I've looked into setting up an Automator script, but you can't tell it to search for more recent events with the same/similar criteria. Would BusyCal or any third party Mac app have a feature like this? Thanks.

I think you need to use a database program. Then you can sort by name, date, contract amount, etc. But you'd have to enter the data, perhaps the date a project ended - in order to know how long it had been since the last contact.
