iCal Alarms?

Hi,

Forgive me if this has been answered before, a quick search showed nothing.

I've got a bunch of events in iCal, however I need an alarm to run approx 8 weeks before the event, to remind me of things I need to prepare.

If it's not possible to do within iCal is it possible to run via automator or a script?

Found via trying:

Made NEW EVENT in Month View and could set alarm date to whatever date I wanted, I could even add more alarm dates.

Is that what you're looking for?
