Having trouble setting up a sync between ICal and Gmail (first time).

I am using Mac Calendar vs 7 and Android 4.4.4.

I believe I have followed the procedure correctly at : ?
https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/99358?hl=en

I can receive the calendar from Google to Mac but not the other way. That is, iCal reads saved calendar entries i make using Android and Google (ie in gmail), but entries saved in iCal are not synced at gmail.

Any solutions to this problem greatly appreciated!

Graham

Have you checked to see whether the events created on the Mac are being saved to the Google calendar, or to a different calendar? Check the default account setting in Mac Calendar preferences, and the calendar to which the missing events were assigned.

iCal and google calendar sync one way only!

Im not exactly sure how i would determine "default", but in Mac Calendar -> Preferences -> under Accounts and Google CalDAV (which is enabled) I press Edit Account —> in Google account i have everything checked including Calendars.
