iCal and Haircuts

I get about half my alarms in iCal. The program is open. The other appointment I had scheduled for today gave me the alert, yet the haircut alert never happened.

This looks pretty simple to me. Does anyone see a reason why this wouldn't give me an alarm 1 hour before the haircut?

I take it I'm the only one having problems with alerts not alerting?

Once again... Not getting To-do prompts. I see no reason, based on this screencap, why this shouldn't have alerted me.

I've had some problems with alerts, but I think a recent software update solved it for me. Can't remember which one. You might check the apple.com support forums -- there are a couple of threads about iCal alarms there.
