Quick question, is it possible to install iCal on an iPod? I am new to the iPod world and am not sure what I can and can't do. Is it possible to install any other programs on them?

There is a viewable calendar built in to the iPod software, viewable under Extras->Calendar. There is also a contacts list, to-do notes, solitaire. The calendars and contacts can be set to update and sync with selected calendars in iCal if you wish. If you have alarm notifications in your iCal events, these will display on the iPod as well.

no.

but you can sync your ipod and get contacts/ some events transfered but as a full app no.

which ipod do you have?

None yet. I am hoping to get the 30 gig video iPod in the next week or so.

well welcome first of all (I can see you're a newbie) but if you can, wait until the 'true' video ipods come out in the near future.

Supposidly full screen videos etc, search these forums, its all over the place. Just trying to give you a heads up, but if the 5th G ipod is what you want, go for it, you'll love it :)
