Hi. I'm using OS 10.8 and iCal 6.0. I moved all my 'on my iMac' calendars to iCloud and now want to move some back. The calendar group 'on my iMac' no longer shows in the sidebar. In several places I have found reference to File -> Calendar Groups, however when I click File there is no option for Calendar Group, only New Event, New Calendar, New Calendar Subscription, Import, Export, Close, Print. Any help for creating a group 'on my iMac'? Thanks.
 
I believe the steps below from this thread will work.


In Calendar->Preferences->Acccounts, disable iCloud.
Then create a new calendar, giving it a name that doesn't conflict with any of the calendars in your iCloud.
Then re-enable the iCloud account.
The new calendar (under "On My Mac") remains.
