iCal calendar is read-only?!

I have not used iCal in a while and the last time I tried to add an event it disallowed me saying the calendar is read only. I have fixed disk permissions, to no avail.

Has anyone had this issue before? I could probably find the offending file(s) and correct the permissions but it may be more complicated than that. Also, this is not supposed to happen under normal circumstances and I am wondering what could have caused it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Is it your own calendar? Or one you're subscribing to? Most calendars that you subscribe to can't be edited by you.

Jeez. Yes, I accidently had a subscribed calendar selected.
