iCal Cancelled events.

Hello... i finally had it... after many years of using iCal i still feel like im still learning and there are features that i am not using....
One issue that has made me waste a lot of time is how do i add a line through an event without deleting it and show it as a cancelled event?
Anyone can help me with that?
