iCal Crashes, Full of Errors in Snow Leopard?

I waited a long time to upgrade my MacBook to Snow Leopard, mostly because I didn't really need any of the speed increases or other updates, and because I remained concerned about having new bugs in my system. I was always happy with Leopard and never had any issues. I finally did upgrade to SL, and iCal is giving me hell.

Its tough to explain the problems that its causing. Basically, the boxes get out of alignment (see attached screenshot), then stuff disappears, sometimes will come back if I click forward a month and then back. If I do this more than one or two times, it just straight up crashes. It is incredibly frustrating. Has anyone else run into similar iCal issues? I feel like a calendar program is one of the more straightforward things Apple has to work on, so I am really surprised that out of everything, this is the biggest upgrade problem I have run into.

It would help if you could copy and post relevant parts of a crash report. Include the backtrace for the thread that crashed (the lines numbered 0,1,2,3,... for the crashed thread) and the beginning of the Binary Images section (as much as you can post).

Just wanted to come back and update this thread, in case anyone else runs into this problem in the future.

After tinkering with the settings, and eventually getting a response from Apple, the problem stems from an error based on time zone settings. I live in a place where the daylight savings setting for the country I live in (Paraguay) are not recognized by the OS, and caused crashes because a certain time was missing (we sprang forward here in the southern hemisphere, and so there was an hour that disappeared from the computer's calendar).

I just wanted to post this in case anyone ends up having similar issues and comes across this thread. If you live in a place that makes its own (stupid) rules about when to switch to daylight savings, like here in Paraguay, Mac won't understand the discrepancy. Switch to another time zone setting (can be another country but with the same time - I switched to Brazil, for instance, as we have the same time right now). It should fix the problem. I hear Apple is wise to the error and working to fix it for a new 10.6.x or 10.7.
