After updating my pismo to 10.3.9 (from 10.3.8) all my system preferences have been reset (minor annoyance), safari too (all bookmarks gone, major annoyance) and iCal lost all my events (big drama). 
Is there any way to get at last my iCal Events back?
The hard drive seems to fine, enough space left, too. After the update everything feels a bit _slower_ - have there been problems with 3.9?
I have to admit iCal and Safari have been open when I did the update, still this is very odd.
