iCal + Exchange -- WHEN!!!???

One simple question: Can anyone explain to me why Apple hasn't released Exchange support in iCal yet? With Panther, Apple's Mail.app and AddressBook gave us long awaited support for Exchange interoperability. Why doesn't iCal!!?? This is probably the single most valuable feature to give us.

I am aware that Snerdware has released GroupCal but it doesn't really provide TRUE integration, just the ability to view Exchange.

So, has anyone hear anything regarding this support? The possibility of it arriving in the next iCal release? Anything?

I am also dissapointed that Apple have not sorted ths out.

Has anyone any experience of using GroupCal by Snerdware as a short term solution?

I do have Microsoft Office but don't really want to move over to Entouage - Unless anyone has any positive experiences of doing this.
