iPod touch iCal failed to sync

Hello. I entered new events on my iPodTouch (Fall, 2009 model). When I connected it to my MBP, the devices were syncing. However, I don't see the new events being listed in the iCal installed on my MBP. Anybody knows how to fix the problem? Thanks.

I do not get an error. I am not syncing my calendar(s) with an email account. Isn't it true that the calendar(s) from my IPT and MBP are supposed to be synced automatically once I have connected the two devices? If not, how do I sync the calendar(s)?

Under Calendar/Other or whatever it is, () is sync calendars with iCal (or something like that) checked?
