I've changed iCal's icon before depending on what icon theme I'm using and it has worked. I'm trying to "stickerize" my mac but iCal is being a persistent pain. I changed all the necessary icons (i thought) through finder but now it's completely gone haywire. Here are some screens of the icons I changed and where they are located. Am I missing something here? Notice the dock icon is now a blend of the fixed date icon and the current date icon.

My guess is because the ical icon is 'live' i.e. it changes every day, what you are getting is an overlay onto your preferred icon.

I know but I replaced the icon with an empty icon so the date should just populate in it. I don't know what is going on this time.
