ical....new event and edit window appear off screen

Good Morning

I wonder if I have changed a setting on my 15" MBP. When I opened up ical the other day to add an event, the "new event" window opens up so far over to the right of my MBP screen I can barely see it. I can just about see a grey edge to pick up and drag the window more to center.

Did I inadvertently change a setting?

Any help appreciated and I apologize if this is posted in the wrong forum.;)
