What other device?
An iPad or iPhone for example.

You could try "rebuilding" iCal's plist file. Find it here:

HD/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iCal.plist

Drag the file to the Desktop.
Now open iCal. A new, default plist will be created in Preferences.
This should not do any damage to your saved events. If you don't like the results, you can move that plist file from the Desktop back into Preferences and overwrite the new one.
But, if your problem is gone, and everything looks like it's still there, you can Trash that file.
