I tried a few searches, I couldn't really come up with an answer for me, so here we go for a new post.
News flash. Push doesn't work.
My biggest issue is with iCal. I put EVERYTHING in iCal, typically in the morning for things I need to do, I run out the door, and nothing shows up.
BUT.
It does show up when I put a new iCal event into my iPhone. My guess is that it makes a connection with MobileMe, sees there is new stuff, uploads my new event, and pulls the other events off the MobileMe and onto my phone.
Not that big of a deal, but a super freaking annoyance when I keep having to make fake iCal events, just to see my new ones. And on occasion, it will only pull new events off the MobileMe server for that day. (ie. if I made a new appointment on my MAC for later in the week, it won't pull that one off. It will pull only events the day of the 'false' event I have created)
Also, I have updated a few contacts on my MAC a few days ago and the updates have yet to show up on my iPhone.
Email push doesn't work at all. I have to check manually. (It did work ONCE, when I tested it ... boy that was a happy 5 minutes of my life.)
A thought:
When I check manually for email that comes in no problem, for a while I assumed it would also check for new iCal events, and new contacts ... but it doesn't. Any ideas why?
What I've done:
Reinstalled 2.0, 2.1, 2.2. Each time adding and deleting my MobileMe account. I've tried syncing account info through iTunes, as well as adding it seperately. I've tried to put NOTHING on the phone after a wipe except the mail accounts, and still no better performance.
So deleteing MobileMe account I am going to assume will do nothing, and reinstalling OS won't do a thing either.
I think I may get better performance through a manual check, or a 15 min fetch. But now I just want to conquer this problem because this feature is important and seems to work for others.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
