iCal reminders - 2 days max?

Hi,

I'm adding a load of birthday info to iCal and want to set a 1 week reminder, however the default max appears to be 2 days. I do have 1 entry however that has 7 days, but i'm blowed if I can remember how i entered it, and how it got to 7 days. (i'm playing around with IOS5 and cloud for syncing.

Any thoughts?
