iCal Schedule Issue

I am a fairly recent switcher, so bare with me on this likely simple issue.

When I try to edit iCal event times, any input just changes the date to the left. Also, when viewing a single day, there are no times just am/pm blocks. No setting changes seem to make a difference. Any ideas?
