iCal: Set default # of mini-months to display?

Is there a way to change the default number of mini-months displayed in iCal? I have a large monitor and I like to display four mini-months at a time. However, each time I quit and re-open iCal this preference is lost and I have to change the view manually. It's a minor inconvenience, but one I'd like to resolve if possible.
