Hi,

How do I share iCal between iPhones when I have a .mac email account but my wife doesn't? She has hotmail.

Thank you.

On her iphone you need to go to settings, iCloud, and enter your account details. then for the items to sync with, you select calendars to 'on', and leave everything else off.

Another option is for her to also get a separate icloud account. She can still use hotmail also. If you do this, you can just share your calendars with her. I'm not sure if you can do the sharing directly from iOS, but if not, you can use ical on your mac (if you have one), or icould.com to do the sharing.

Obi Wan, I went into Settings on my wife's phone. There is no iCloud option. She has an iPhone 3. Then I searched and learned she needs at least a 3GS for iCloud with iOS5. Does that sound about right?

Are there free upgrades?

Also, thanks, Scooby. How do I get her an iCloud email address? Do I have to pay for another account?
