I accidentally threw out my iCal app cause it was on my desk top, thinking it was only the alias. Now iCal appears as a shaded icon with a slash through it, when i attempt to open iCal I get a message window saying.

"You can't open the application "iCal" because it is not supported on this architecture"

However, events that I had scheduled before this trouble, still pop up on time. What is happening, is iCal still lurking on my computer somewhere? Also I forgot to mention my restore disks have been lost.
Thanks for the help!

pull it out of the trash...

If you emptied the trash you should be able to recover it from the restore discs that came with your mac.
