iCal (Tiger) Search Problem

So, I opened up iCal in Tiger as usual, and I entered a search string in the box at the bottom but it only gave me a partial list of the results, it seemed not to show any events that occurred in the past. I know that all these events are still there and they show up in spotlight but not in iCal search.

Any thoughts on a way to fix it?

It sounds like it intentionally filters the events to excude past events. Unless there is a setting in preferences you seem to be stuck.

I checked preferences, and there is no option to filter search results. Guess I need to find a way to "jump-start" iCal into searching everything again.

Problem Solved

I found a way to force iCal to reindex everything by deleting the current index (thanks to macosxhints)
