ical truncating events?

I'm wondering if there's a way to make iCal events go onto more than one line in order to display the full title. I realize I could just make the window huge, but I like keepin iCal small.

this ical event is supposed to read "Softball Game". grrr!

the second picture is a different event, where (for some reason) it's doing what i want it to do!! why is this?

So after playing around for a while with the size of iCal, the title DOESN'T truncate if iCal is very small, DOES truncate at medium size, and DOESN'T at large size. so, i guess my problem is sortof solved? This still very much weirds me out, does anyone else have this issue?
