Is this--http://icall.com/iphone/--a possible answer to those of us on the fringe of AT&T coverage, but who have a home WiFi network?

Or is it all a pipe-dream?

According to their site, al calls to US and Canada are free. :)

Question is, when are they going to launch the app?!

oh sorry, i was talking about the app itself not being free

but the calls yea. as long as you started with wifi will be free but if you switch from cell network to wifi they wont be. correct?

What I was wondering if a call coming through via your cellphone number finds little or no service, since you're on the fringe of the signal, could it automatically shift over to WiFi through this application?

According to the video, you can switch back and forth.

Yeah, I'm sure the app won't be free, but I think it wuld be well worth it. Think about it, if you were at home or at work where Wifi is available... you've almost cut your AT&T minutes in half almost. From what I hear, anyone with AT7T and the iPhone can use Starbuck's Wifi for free too!

So - you may spend $40.00 on the application but I think you'll make it back by reducing your plan with AT&T...
