Looking at the way in which the camera and photos are handled within the iPhone, it isn't hard to imagine a camera from Apple.

Multi-touch display on the back.

The same photo management as the iPhone.

Bluetooth for wireless file swap/syncing.

Wi-Fi for direct .mac or Photobucket uploads, and web browsing.

10x Optical Zoom.

Flash.

0.28 inches thin.

10 hour battery life.

Black.

Drop dead gorgeous.

Three models. 8 megapixel for $499, 10 megapixel for $599, and 12 megapixel for $699.

Two hard drive sizes to choose from: 16GB Flash, and 32GB Flash.

What do you guys think?

not gonna happen anytime soon. and even if there were, they would not start at 8mp, or else the iphone's cam would have to be significantly higher to even keep up with that...

don't get me wrong, I like the idea, just not a smart one on apple's part right now...

Wow... Umm.. Video?

would an 8mp video camera really be a competitor in the affordable HD market? i mean, when has apple ever released something that wasnt the 'best thing ever'?

and 500 bucks? oh.. yeah...
