When i try and send a file (no matter what as long as it contains of more then one thing) from one computer to another, i get this error

Your buddy cannot receive transfers of directories (folders). You could create and send a zip archive of the directory before sharing, or share each file in the directory individually.

I make a zip of the file and that is fine, but why can't i just send a folder?

That's just how it is. Making an archive isn't that much of a hassle.

O ok, no its not, i just wanted to know if it was a setting...ANd if i could change it, cause it wasn't always like that.
