Hello and Good morning to everyone, I am having some issues with iChat 5.0.1 on a new MBP running 10.6.2
When I first opened iChat it guided me to the steps of setting up a new account with GoogleTalk which I successfully completed, now I was able to chat and video chat with my buddies the 1st time. Now when I'm trying to log in to the google account and type in the password I keep getting the message:
"iChat can't log in to talk.google.com because your login ID or password is incorrect" and never connects me.
I do have an email account through gmail and have verified the password, I have also recently just bought a Aiport Extreme which I thought could be the cause of it but I went to my friend's house and tried to log in from her iMac and the same message popped up but she is able to log in no problem with her gmail account on iChat
I have tried deleting the account and creating new ones but no luck, I have also tried changing the Login id to me@googlemail.com instead of me@gmail.com but no luck. I have the "Remember this password in my keychain" box unchecked.
I'm at the point that I'm getting frustrated especially with a week old MBP
any help or suggestion are greatly appreciated.
