Ichat and hotmail

I just recentley got my ibook g4 and set up ichat is there a way you can use your hotmail account on ichat and chat with the people like you would on MSN?

You're better off using Mercury Messenger or aMSN

No. iChat is limited to AIM, MobileMe, Jabber, Google Talk.

yea, the fact that iChat only recognizes AIM, google talk, Mobile Me, and Jabber is really disappointing... especially in canada here where almost everyone uses hotmail & MSN... =3=

I'd recommend downloading adium, it enables you to add any IM messenger client including hotmail, aim, ichat, google, skype etc. And its open source i believe, there are many skins, dock icons, different chat styles
