iChat AV 2: Aliases?

As you know iChat will sync up with your OSX addressbook. However, lets say you have a LeRoiDesLangues in your buddy list and you want to change him to lets say a more recognizable name like MacCoaster. However with the current version of iChat I would not be able to without creating a vCard for him. The result would be me having hordes of Cards synced to my Palm with no sub information in them (Palm Desktop doesn't sync the AIM field)

Does the iChat AV 2 in Tiger provide for alias creation without needing a vCard to be created in the addressbook?
AdiumX can create these aliases and surprisingly they are carried over into the official AIM client when I login using it.

Can't you create a group in addressbook to sync only what you want to your palm.

What about file sharing? Is there a more advanced file sharing option in iChat for Tiger, like being able to share a folder that any of your buddies can access at any time?
