For some reason while at home, I can never do a video chat with ichat AV. As soon as i initiate a video chat (even with the apple test account) it never connects, and then the internet wont work at all, safari, etc. In a few minutes it will come back up and the net will work again. I tried it with a microsoft router, and the airport express, same problem. Any ideas? thanks for everyones help..

ichat AV crashes modem

Im using my intel iMac, with integrated isight. I believe the same thing happens when using my powerbook with external isight. I am using DSL
Just found the solution, i changed the port from 5190 to 443, in ichat prefs, under server settings. Works perfectly now. I saw this mentioned once a long time ago on some forum, the word should be spread, might fix others ichat problems as well.
