Usually I can do video chats fine, but whenever I try to do it with one friend, it says there was an error. This friend can never do a videochat with anyone for some odd reason, and has a macbook air. This is exactly what it said:

There Was A Communication Error In Your Chat.

No data has been recieved for the last 10 seconds. You can send details about this problem to Apple to help improve future versions of iChat.

Sounds like your friend has a Firewall/Router issue on his end.

Something must be blocking the connection in or out to him. Do you know what kind of router he has, and if he has any special firewall settings?

Mac-to-Mac iChat has always worked very well for me, even with non-apple routers, but not everyone has been so lucky...
