Hey guys, well many of you have probably seen this stupid error, but the thing is that my friend can video chat with other people, but not with me.

It works if we are connected to the same wifi network though... but, not from different networks.

does anyone know a fix for this? it's like only for me and... is there any internet settings i should change or something?

I am running :apple: mac os x leopard 10.5.7

please help.

thanks

I have uninstalled Perian, but it's still same... I restarted and everything, it's same... what can i do?

Sounds like a router issue to me. Especially if you can chat on the same network, but not when one of you is remote.

iChat relies heavily on Universal Plug-and-play (UPnP) in order to automatically open the ports it needs.

I have had very good luck with iChat-to-iChat with a number of routers (Apple Airports, D-link. Belkin, etc). You might check to make sure you and your friend both have UPnP turn on in your routers...

I have NOT had good luck with the iChat to AIM (windows) video chat. if you have to do Mac-Windows video chat, then I would try Skype...
