ichat cutting out (wireless)

i have a macbook air (6 months old). my ichat cuts out every 5 minutes or so....i've spent hours dealing with Time Warner, and they have come by and checked out my modem/connection and say everythings working fine.

ichat just keeps logging me out all the time. it seems that sometimes it just logs me out of my gchat username, not the actual AIM user name.

thoughts?
