ichat feedback error 12

When i try to add someone to my buddy list I get an error that says that i can't. it says there was an error (feedbag error 12) any ideas?

Did you install Safari 3.0 beta? It caused some problems with iChat and uninstalling the Safari beta apparently helped. (reference thread here and here <- where someone had a log-in, log-out suggestion.)

downloaded the chax plugins and still no fix.

throw out the plist? It might help.

com.apple.chatClient.plist

found inside: user/library/preferences

Other than that my only other thought was reinstalling iChat or even repairing permissions. (Applications > Utilities and open Disk Utility. Select the drive you want to repair.)
