iChat Font Issue

Sorry guys, this is a simple question, but I can not figure it out. I know how to change the font that I see and such, but how do I change the color that the person who receives sees? I can copy and paste, but that will only work until I send 1 message, then it will go back to black. Is there a permanent way? Thanks.

To change your font color do the following:

iChat > Preferences > Messages

And it should be there labeled "my font color"

Thanks for the help, but that only changes the font color I see. Sorry it sounds weird, but I'm trying to make it so that my receivers see a different color.

It should be sending them the font color you set, as long as they allow it.
