iChat has a mind of its own?

I use iChat as my client. (I used to use adium, but Video Chatting works well with iChat).

For some reason, iChat is able to open up on its own, when people message me?

I have a Jabber Account (For Facebook Chat), Google Chat enabled, and AIM.

iChat will be shut down, but somehow people are able to message me?


Is it because iChat is linked to Mail? I'm confused!
