ichat help: cannot logon to aim at university

i cannot connect to aim using ichat or anything else at my university, is there a way to get through the firewall?

I think there may be a way to use aim through a jabber client. http://allforces.com/2005/05/06/ichat-to-msn-through-jabber/ It's similar to setting up msn to work through ichat.

You might also try this web site called MeeBo. It allows you to chat on different IM clients.

MSN can work with iChat!?!?!
EDIT: never mind, google is my friend. just set up MSN to work with iChat. awesome! any hacks to have MSN contacts be shown on the buddy list?

Change the Port from 5190 to Port 80.

thank you so much, i saw that somewhere and thoght it meant 5180 for some stupid reason. It works perfect now.
