ichat hides buddies

Under window it shows that i am having a conversation with them but when i click on their name i dont see it

Are you using iChat for Leopard? It supports AIM's Invisible Mode - if your buddy has that enabled you can still chat with them but you won't see them in your online list.

i am using ichat for leopard but the thing is i see my buddy on my buddy list but when i click on their name the chat box doesnt come up, but it does on other people. thanks for trying to help, this situation makes no sense i know.

I have a similar problem. I tried to add my Aunt as a buddy and when I add her, I see her in my buddy list for a few seconds and then she disappears. I can not find her anymore. I am added to her buddy list and she can see me when I am online and if I am not online then I am in her offline list. But on my computer. She is not listed on my online list or offline list. I keep adding her and she is there for a few seconds and then she disappears.
