iChat icons?

In my ~/Library/Application Support/Apple folder, there is an "iChat Icons" folder with all types of little graphics like planets, flags, fruit, gems, etc.

What are these used for in iChat? And how do you use them?

They're just provided for use as buddy icons

Oh ok...I wonder why they would hide them like that and not advertise them?

actually i think if you just fresh installed there is an alias to that folder in your users picture folder for those icons. so when you select a new buddy icon for yourself thats a folder you see in the defaulted pictures folder
