iChat is SERIOUSLY messed up

OK, i my friend wants to send me a pic via ichat.... he's on a pc wit aim.... lol, when he sends it....it shows up as a file on ichat......... then i launch regular aim for os x and tell him to send it again..... i quit ichat........ when he sends it, ichat launches in my face..... wtf.... same issue..... i remove ichat from my comp........ and tell him to send it via regular aim......... well he tries..... and then ichat pops up with an error sayin can't find program... error code w/e....... arg...... yea, and steve or whatever said "macs and pc's effortless integration" yea my ass

first of all, if you want to ask questions, calm down and write more coherently.

i, for one, don't have the problem you are describing. so i know it's not the default configuration for ichat to be launched every time you want to send a file over IM. i do what you tried - i quit adium and use AOL IM when i want files downloaded. iChat is still in my computer but it doesn't get launched.

try junking the iChat pref. file, perhaps? go to user/Library/Preferences.
