iChat login problems..

I recently been experiencing some minor problems with iChat not being able to save my passwords anymore. I put all my AIM info into it plus the PW and select to use this as my main account to login into aumatically. But as of lately everytime I login to iChat it always ask me for my PW and to remember it in my keychain. But it never does and I always have to re-enter the pw all the time. Any advice how to remedy this problem?

I don't understand why nobody has given me an answer to this problem. It's becoming really annoying that i am prompted to enter again and again. Even when I type the password under my screen name in iChat's system preferences. So I have no clue what is wrong or why it won't save my password. I even have it checked off to log me on automatically... please anyone help me out here!
