I like the way iChat is doing the logging of message history but the only issue I see is that iChat has this very annoying thing that when you send a message it doesn't display your screen name but your actual name...so when you go check the logs you have no idea which screename you were using while chatting with a particular person because they all show your name when you're sending the IM's. It also doesn't organize them by the different screen names you use but everything together in the fashion I mentioned before.
So I read somewhere that Chax would fix this and actually organize IM logs by screenames you use as opposed to putting everything together, however I don't see this option on the preferences and haven't yet found a way to do this.
