iChat not working properly

So i made an AIM account and tried setting up iChat on my moms leopard MBP but for some reason when i add my sn, it keeps disappearing from her list after a minute or so.

I used AIM express and it works fine and also on adium. just iChat keeps deleting it so she can not tell if im on or not cause im never on her list. Any idea?

She needs iChat for video Chat

I've had this problem. If I remember correctly, you have to delete the iChat plist files. Don't worry, it'll remake them when iChat restarts. If that doesn't work search google or osxhints.com. I've found the answer before.

i cant seem to find any plist files for ichat anywhere?
