iChat on New Macbook

Hello, I'm new here to this forum and am looking for some help. I am a very big Mac fan, and this Christmas I upgraded to the new MacBook from the old white one. One problem that I noticed right away is with iChat. Whenever I leave my computer up and it eventually goes to sleep, iChat disconnects. On my old laptop, I could just leave an away message up, have the computer sleep, and when I would return iChat would still be up.

How can I fix this?

When computer sleeps it stops all processes, including iChat. Seems like your previous computer didn't sleep.

ya it sounds like ur old one just turned its display off and not fully to sleep
