Thanks in advance for your help.

Once I click the X to close out my buddy list window [not sign off/exit], iChat stays running down in the dock, but I cannot pull my buddy list back up. If i click on the dock icon nothing happens anymore. If I recall correctly, my buddy list used to come back when I clicked the icon. Keep in mind I am still signed into iChat and everything, I just view my buddy list.

Thanks!

I dont think it does come back if you click it in the dock. Just go to view in the menubar and select buddy list. Cant remember what shortcut is but its next to the 'view buddy list'. :)

It still works for me running 10.4.8 on my powerbook, so I'll see if I can think of a way to fix your problem. I've actually never tried to bring up the buddy list again that way :). Are you running any modifications to iChat like Chax?

yeah i am running chaux actually.
and when i click view, everything is greyed out!

i just want my buddy list back :(

configured it to work better in chaux, thanks guys for all the quick help!

hmm do you know what change you made in Chax? I'm having the same issue, pressing apple-1 is annoying...

under the general tab in chax, check the box that says show the buddy list for the following: aim.
