iChat problems

So I've been having two big problems with iChat lately. One, when someone tries to initiate a text chat with me, I hear the message recieved sound, but there won't be a window for about 10 seconds, then I get an error message saying I failed to join the chat, but after I hit OK, it opens the chat window. The other is that whenever I send a message, I'll press enter, but right next to my name the bubble will show that I'm typing something for about 5 seconds, then it'll show what I typed. What should I do?

Are you using Chax? Also, do you have the safari 3 beta?

Its due to the new beta of Safari.

It is due to the new safari beta, and you should go and download the newest version of Chax. It will fix the problem.
