iChat problems

I have been having trouble with the video part of iChat. It never seems to connect and if it does it freezes after a few seconds. Also, I have been having trouble when people send me pictures. Why is this happening?

What kind of Mac do you have? Processor speed, RAM, Operating system?

Is your camera built in?

How are your friends trying to send the picture?

Also, what kind of account do you use with iChat? AOL?

I have the same issue with iChat. When I try to connect to a friend using AIM, the following happens. 1st: waiting for response, 2nd: connecting, 3rd: a error screen comes up or it states that my friend "declined"(i know what you you are thinking, we were on the phone at the time. so it was not really declined). I am lost here.
